FAQ

UniFi network questions

Short answers to what clients ask most often.

Why choose Ubiquiti UniFi for a business network?

UniFi gives small and mid-sized businesses enterprise-style gateways, switches, Wi-Fi and cameras managed from one dashboard, without per-device license fees. Designed and installed properly, it delivers fast, reliable Wi-Fi, separated guest and camera networks, and remote management.

Do you install UniFi networks on-site?

Yes. I design and install UniFi networks on-site across the Omaha, Nebraska metro, and can manage and support them remotely afterwards.

Can you fix Wi-Fi dead spots?

Usually, yes. Dead spots and slow Wi-Fi often come from too few access points, poor placement or channel overlap. I plan coverage for your space and place access points where they will actually reach the people using them.

Can you work with our existing UniFi equipment?

Yes. I can take over, clean up and document an existing UniFi network, update its firmware and settings, and add equipment where it is needed.

Do UniFi Protect cameras require a subscription?

No. UniFi Protect records to storage on your own UniFi console, so video stays on your premises and there is no monthly cloud recording fee.

How do you keep the network secure?

Security comes first in every design: separate networks for staff, guests and cameras, firewall rules between them, strong Wi-Fi security, up-to-date firmware and limited administrator access.
